10 Must Have Items for Your Home Theater
When it comes to a home theater the electronics are important but they are not the only thing that makes a great home theater. Here are 10 must have items for every home theater.
- TV or Projector – I am not going to get to technical here but it would be pretty difficult to have a home theater without a TV or Projector. There are literally thousands of different options to choose from so make sure you do some good research before settling on a TV or Projector.
- Blu-Ray Player, DVD Player or Apple Tv – You will need something that can play your movies. My choice would be a Blu-Ray player because the sound quality as well as the picture quality is unmatched.
- Home Theater Receiver – Some of you might not know what a receiver does or why it is important. The receiver is what powers the sound from all of the different devices like your, TV, Blu-Ray, Xbox etc and sends it to your speakers.
- Good Pair Of Speakers – To get the true home theater experience you will want to make sure you get at least 5 solid surround sound speakers or even 7 if your budget allows.
- Home Theater Subwoofer – The home theater sub is what brings your home theater to life. The subwoofer creates the low rumblings and the loud explosions that you can feel that are part of any good home theater.
- Universal Remote – All of the different components of your home theater will have their own remote. Make sure you buy a universal remote that can handle the whole shooting match or you will drive yourself crazy trying to find all the different remotes each time you sit down to watch a movie.
- Recliner – If you can’t kick your feet up and relax it won’t matter how good your home theater sounds. You have to be able to relax. That is one of the most important parts of any home theater.
- Lights – Make sure you put in a dimmer switch or even a small lamp in the corner that allows you to dim the lights but not leave you in complete darkness.
- Popcorn – Ok, this is another must. It is not possible to watch a movie without a little popcorn.
- Home Theater Decor – Don’t be afraid to give you home theater a little personality by adding at least some movie posters on the wall. A framed movie poster just adds to the whole experience.
Now you have a top 10 list for you home theater. The most important thing is that you need to know about a home theater is that you need to make time to use it.
