It is really easy to get caught in the trap of that is how we always do it. However, it is ideal to research and see if there are better ways to do things. One task I was assigned recently was overseeing the inventory process. I did some research and learned how to buy digital counting scales and was amazed at all the information I learned. It made the buying process so much easier for me. With so many changes in technology these days it is really hard to keep up with all the advancements that seem to happen every week. Once I determined what information I needed to know it made the actual buying much easier. I really wanted battery power, since a lot of times we are going all over the facility and need to be able to use the electronics without standard power. We also need easy to follow instructions so anyone on our floor can use the electronics.
